About Dr. Baek

Founder-led care from Dr. Carolyn Baek.

Baek Physical Therapy & Wellness was created to offer a more expert, personal rehabilitation experience: evidence-based, compassionate, proactive, and never rushed.

Founder

Dr. Carolyn Baek, Founder of Baek PT & Wellness

Dr. Carolyn Baek is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist, and founder of Baek Physical Therapy & Wellness.

She has more than a decade of experience in oncology rehabilitation, lymphedema management, and orthopedic physical therapy, with training through NYU, NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell, Massachusetts General Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Northwell Health.

Her work supports people managing lymphedema, lipedema, swelling, surgery recovery, breast cancer recovery, orthopedic pain, and return to sport or daily movement with confidence.

Philosophy

Physical therapy is more than a profession; it is a calling.

Recovery is not just a body part or a protocol. It is a person trying to understand what is happening, what is safe, and how to move forward.

Dr. Baek's approach blends orthopedic reasoning, lymphatic expertise, movement education, and hands-on care when appropriate.

The work is proactive, not reactive: care is designed around long-lasting solutions, practical recommendations, and support that continues during an injury and after.
